Violin Day is an all-day event to get the community excited about the Competition and encourage multi-generational music making, connecting musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels. Attendees can participate in masterclasses, clinics, jam sessions, improv workshops and play with violin choirs (available at 3 different levels). There will also be a mini competition for participants to take part in. Mark O’Connor, a talented fiddler who composed a new work for the Menuhin Competition, will be giving an evening performance, also including several mass violin choirs.
